Network Lists and a Network Marketplace
We are excited to announce a major release to the Onomondo platform this month.
Our core focus is to simplify and enhance how people connect their devices online. Today, we see thousands of companies working within the rules of MNOs and MVNOs in order to get internet access. That’s not good enough for us.
Choosing the best cellular network for your IoT devices and business can be complicated. Most operators today either provide you with groups of networks in “zones” or access to individual networks with higher than average MB costs. Onomondo strives to do better.
This month, we are launching a more robust, intuitive, and cost-effective solution to managing your fleet. We’ve improved Network Lists within the Onomondo platform to leverage our industry-leading Network Marketplace. Using the Network Marketplace, customers can create custom lists that meet their business’s needs, including cost, technologies, and market.

What’s new?
The introduction of the Network Marketplace
This feature is a major expansion of the Network List within the Onomondo platform. Now users can create new lists for their fleets completely on their own, having full control over how they operate.
This is because we’ve integrated the Network Marketplace with the platform. The Network Marketplace is a collection of over 700 RANs that have been fully integrated into Onomondo’s core network. You can make network lists for your fleet by going to the Network Marketplace.
Here’s an overview of what’s new in Network Lists.
- Network Whitelist > Network List
- We have renamed Network Whitelist to Network Lists within the platform.
- Pricing details with Network Marketplace
- Users can now see the following pricing information for networks in the platform:
- Megabyte costs
- Billing increments
- SMS costs
- Access charges
- Roaming restrictions
- Users can now see the following pricing information for networks in the platform:
- Available technologies
- Users can now see whether 2G, 3G, or 4G is available within a specific network.
- We also provide coverage on LTE-M and NB-IoT networks in available markets. Contact Onomondo support for more information on available LPWAN coverage.
- This information will be available on the platform in the future.
- UX/UI improvements
- Network Lists and the Network Marketplace received an improved design to make it simpler and faster to create and edit lists. There is more information about your list and networks available at a glance from the list view. When within the Network Marketplace, you can see more information about available networks without having to reference an additional webpage or spreadsheet.
- User permissions
- Users can set permissions at the list level. This makes it easy to manage which users should have access to editing a list.

More detail in Network Logs
Network Logs are one of the best ways to understand connectivity issues with your devices. This month, we’ve added more information to Network Logs to make it easier to troubleshoot a device without having to download a PCAP file. If further assistance is needed when troubleshooting, PCAP downloads will still be available.
Here’s an overview of what’s new in Network Logs.
- Traffic uploaded/downloaded
- Users can now see the size of the traffic uploaded and downloaded in a session within Network Logs.
- SIM activation/deactivation
- Users can now see the activation and deactivation of SIMs within Network Logs as well. This will appear in the feed of the SIM logs.
