Release Notes July 2023: Platform Update – Network Usage Cost Report

What’s new in the platform?

This month, we’ve updated user visibility settings and introduced new reports to help enhance your understanding of your fleet’s performance. Read on to learn more about these updates and how to use them.

New reports available within Usage

With our latest update, Admins and Owners can now download their usage data as a CSV file, grouped by network. This new report makes it easier to get an overview of which networks are accumulating the highest data costs.

Members can also access this feature if they have been given the rights by using Tags. This new level of visibility can help pinpoint networks that stand out and assist in making decisions about which networks should remain on your network lists.

To get started, users can go to the usage page, click on the top right button to “Download CSV reports” and then choose the specific option, to get data grouped by network or SIM.

Updating Fleet Overview visibility

We have also removed the Fleet Overview widget at the top right of the main dashboard for Members, to remove confusion around an organization’s usage.  This can be misleading, as it can fail to reflect Members’ actual amount of SIMs.

Admin and Owner, dashboards will remain unchanged, and you can update these permissions with Tags.

Wrapping up

We are committed to continuously introducing value-providing features that help streamline IoT operations, and we look forward to launching more valuable updates in the future.

Please contact Onomondo if you have questions or wish to enhance your next IoT project.
