By implementing proactive cost monitoring at the individual SIM level, you can take the reins on IoT budgeting and prevent cost overruns before they impact your business.

What’s new

Every Onomondo SIM can now be configured with its own cost threshold alert, giving you granular control over your entire fleet. You can set daily or monthly cost limits that align with your specific project requirements, whether you’re managing a handful of critical devices or thousands of sensors across multiple regions.

When a SIM reaches its cost threshold, our systems will immediately trigger a webhook notification to your designated endpoint. Our systems check these alerts hourly and fire them once per threshold breach, ensuring you receive notifications in a timely manner.

How

Navigate to any SIM in the platform, click Edit in the left panel, and scroll to the Cost alert section. Choose your preferred cost period (daily or monthly), set your threshold, and save your changes.

Then head to the Webhooks section to create or configure an existing webhook with your endpoint URL, select the “Cost alert” event type, and your cost alert will be active immediately.
