We’re focused on reducing clutter and streamlining your experience with the Onomondo platform. To align with the recent deprecations of IoT Cloud providers, we’re updating our Cloud Connector options. This includes the deactivation and upcoming removal of IBM Watson IoT Platform and Google IoT Core Connectors.
Why Remove Cloud Connector Options?
On 6 August 2023, Google’s IoT Core was discontinued, and on 1 December 2023 IBM Watson IoT Platform was discontinued. Due to these deprecations and usage on the Onomondo platform, we’re moving forward with the removal of these Connectors. This step is part of our ongoing effort to optimize and update our services, ensuring that we provide you with the most relevant and efficient tools.
Transitioning to Alternative Connectors
For users currently utilizing IBM Watson IoT Platform or Google IoT Core Connectors, we recommend transitioning to other available options such as our TLS, AWS IoT Core, Azure, or HTTPS Connectors. These alternatives offer robust and secure connectivity, while helping your devices reduce power and data consumption.
